CMG COLLECTIONS: #ATNPL PART 2: THE AFTERMATH

"Get on ya knees, cuz the Almighty blessed us with the almighty Regime, the team.." - Genesis Renji

Autotune&Punchlines: THE AFTERMATH

Loyalty makes you FAM(ILY), "I love you." Having faithfulness to commitments and obligations makes one loyal. After having listened to such lyrically inclined young men, I have never witnessed a more hardworking team and brotherhood.  Collectively, they have set themselves apart again from other unsigned hype and paving the way for their future success and happiness in the big leagues.

Upon my first listen to ATNPL, I knew I expected greatness but my ears heard more. The introduction was a beautiful piano solo, produced by Deonte Hayes, which brought the sophistication immediately. I was definitely blown away. The phenomenal mixtape shows the collaborative geniuses at work. Each song was carefully and uniquely created by monumental producers of Milwaukee. You would be lying to yourself if you said you didn't remember the hook to least half the songs after the mixtape is over. Whether the tracks are fast, slow, mellow or explicit, this one stop mixtape provides it all for just about every type of personality. CMG is a force to be reckoned with and I dare you to try and count the punchlines. Pizzle is best known for his work ethic and it displays itself well in ATNPL. His lyricism is beyond belief. He obviously does this effortlessly and reiterates the fact that he is blessed with this talent and will only use it positively. Pizzle is looked at as a role model or big brother to several young men up and coming in Milwaukee. Jae Ace bring the facts in his lyrics. He is dead honest and will, "keep it funky" no matter the topic. His heartbreak is echoed in a few verses. We all hear about Ms. Edwards and it makes him able to relate to those of us who have lost a parent or loved one. Jae Ace will get you off your feet in one song and bring out unexpected emotions in another, making him adaptive and imaginative. Dooch is unmistakeably the comedic persona in CMG. He will be the typical guy to make the listeners laugh with his catchy lyrics, but listen closely because his accelerated rate of rap may be hard to catch the first time around. Hardaway is the well rounded guy. His sharp wit is able to rap a clean punchline on any topic that he is given. He pours out a piece of his heart in his lyrics about his past. He has channeled the adversity of his past and will use it to his advantage. When he explained the scar upon his neck is the reminder that he is not suppose to be alive, I disagreed with that statement. Hardaway IS suppose to be here on earth, celebrating his life and love with his brothers, family and loved ones, pursuing his dream. Young Renz is the youngest in the group with the biggest heart. His distinct voice lets you know that he is speaking and has something the listeners need to hear about. We hear Renz and understand that his choice of topics is relevant among the youth as well as our elders. He didn't speak on as many controversial topics as heard in The Acceptance Letter, but he has just as many punchlines as the other CMG members. Powerful tracks like "My All" show the  dedication and determination in where CMG wants to be and will be. The resourceful artists will give you songs of deeper meaning and will give club bangers like "Precipitate," "Love Her," & "Me & My Niggas."

Proficient singers, Kiara DuPree and Mikey V. added the smooth R&B vibes to several songs on ATNPL Including "Sky Don't Fall," "Precipitate," "On Me," "Pain," & "My All." The vocals abilities are flawless. Both are immaculate in their crafts and gives CMG that extra special spice. The singers are constantly working hard in every upcoming project and performance they have as a group as well as solo acts. Follow Miss DuPree on SoundCloud @Kiara DuPree for more tracks that are to be released.  CMG is is the epitome of what a team looks, acts and sounds like. What more can the industry possibly ask for? The hardest working team of people that Milwaukee has ever seen is preparing themselves for what comes next. Independent artists tend to be the hungrier artists, but CMG will not be unsigned much longer. Seven is the biblical number of completion and perfection and CMG is just that. They are humble in their abilities and they affect the community in a positive way everyday. Everyone has to build from the ground up and they are not strangers to hard work. There is no doubt that CMG can only go up from this point and the only time they look down is build each other back up. Individually they are excellent, but together they are unrelenting.
