Kiara DuPree


Aquarius born Milwaukee singer/songwriter, Kiara DuPree has a matchless voice of her own and a savvy demeanor to match. The vintage styled beauty is not the girl next door, but rather the girl around the block and down the street. Growing up in such a small city like Milwaukee has its challenges including the lack of proper promotion and exposure for great artists like herself. Her main influences include Chaka Khan and the late Aaliyah, Whitney Houston & Michael Jackson. DuPree finds it a bit frustrating at times to receive the type the recognition that is deserved to her. Milwaukee is a small city that is very high in violence and is less likely to support indepedent artists. There is superb talent overlooked on a regular basis. Kiara plans to take the silver lining of her life and remain positive for her destiny and the upcoming CMG team.
 
I asked Kiara, Why did you choose to be a part of CMG rather than stay solo or join another group?
 
Kiara: I'm still solo. I respect that as a team player, you can still be your own individual but come together as a team and they just felt like family already so I just built a foundation with them.
 
How does performing make you feel?
 
Kiara: It's unexplainable, one of the best feelings in the world.
 
 
She goes on to explain that she does not have competition. She stays in her own lane and focuses on herself, regardless of the next singer. Comparison is not questioned in her world. One cannot continuously focus on who they feel is competition and be successful since we all know it's inevitable. She simply replies:
 
 
"My only competition everyday is to listen and obey what God wants me to do.."
 
 
 
If you weren't singing, writing music or in the studio, what would you be doing?
 

Kiara: I can't see me doing anything else then what God put me here for, and that's music.
 
 
As for the future, time will only tell but the euphonic voice will soon be heard internationally very soon. DuPree depicts CMG to be highly recognized in the next year by several prestigious illustrations and television production companies. Her first choices of current celebrities to work with are successful singers/rappers Chris Brown & Drake. She feels they are fascinating artists that would take her beyond her creative limitations. What makes Miss DuPree stand out is something that cannot be explained, but rather shown and  proven. She lives a humble lifestyle that will take her farther than she's ever imagined. She is currently working on an EP that will be released once its reached perfection. She has been featured on almost every CMG member's mixtapes and albums. She shows her latest vocal ability on Autotune&Punchlines, which was recently released September 28th and is available for download at 10ToesDown.net.
